Undergoing dental treatment under general anaesthesia is a way to provide dental care for patients in a less stressful and relaxed manner.
Our clinics at Collombey and Pully offer the possibility of being treated with general anaesthesia to all patients within the Ardentis Group.
Dental treatment under general anaesthesia is very much adapted for young children and people suffering from dental phobia or other disabilities. The treatment proceeds in a such a way that the patient feels at ease and relaxed. All types of treatment can be undertaken from basic fillings to wisdom teeth and implants.
Dental care under general anaesthesia can be performed by all dentists including surgical specialists for wisdom teeth and implants and periodontal specialists to treat Gum disease. Who then is a suitable candidate?
- Patients in good health (without any serious illness and having a BMI within a normal range)
- Patients must be at least 5 years of age. Below this age limit, general anaesthesia can only be undertaken in a hospital setting.
If necessary, patients can also undergo treatment at the Hospital of Rennaz:
- With Dr Stephanie Mesquita for treating cavities, root canal treatment and simple extractions.
- With Dr Carol Guenin for cases of impacted teeth, wisdom teeth or implants.
