It was in 1993 in Vevey that the dream of Swiss dentists and founders Jean-Marie Briaux, Stefan Beyer, Dr Mark Bischof and Dr Rabah Nedir finally came true. Their vision was to revolutionise dental medicine by focussing on patient well-being, and by basing their practice on comprehensive and multidisciplinary treatment services. They sought to bring all dental medicine specialities together under one roof and to establish an emergency service 7 days a week, as well as to provide a personal welcome, longer opening hours, and work with state-of-the-art equipment housed within modern, spacious and comfortable dental clinics.
Boasting a 25-year period of stable management, the group is presently managed by co-founders and Swiss dental surgeons Dr Mark Bischof and Dr Rabah Nedir.
In 2018, the Ardentis Dental Clinics Group employed 254 staff, including 199 women, 55 men and an additional 42 apprentices in training. With an average age of 35 and covering more than 25 nationalities, the Ardentis Group now has 12 Dental Clinics in French-speaking Switzerland in the cantons of Vaud, Geneva, Fribourg and Valais, as well as a company of Laboratories with 3 branches (Lausanne, Yverdon and Vevey) and an administrative services company in Lausanne. Thanks to our centre of excellence in scientific research, more than 300 presentations have been given at national and international conferences, and more than 30 scientific articles have been published in international journals.

Dr Mark Bischof et Dr Rabah Nedir, domiciliés respectivement le canton de Vaud, sont diplômés de l’Université de Genève, Spécialistes SSO en chirurgie orale, dotés du titre d’excellence en chirurgie buccale (certificat européen) et en activité médicale au sein des cliniques dentaires Ardentis.
Former professors at the University of Geneva, they are the authors of numerous scientific publications, speakers, and are both widely renowned figures in Switzerland and internationally by their peers. They also set up centres of excellence within the Ardentis dental clinics, such as implantology, orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry, periodontology, paediatric dentistry, etc.
As entrepreneurs, they completed their micro MBA at the Romandie Formation. In 2018, they launched a strategy for growth and long-term viability for Ardentis in Swiss Romandie, as a major player and centre of excellence in the dental medicine sector.
With their vision in mind, Dr Mark Bischof and Dr Rabah Nedir share their passion and knowledge and steer their teams towards excellence, in order to offer patients the best quality treatment possible.

Ardentis is developing its “smile cosmetics” centre with Ardentis Smile Design and its digital laboratory equipped with scanners, 3D printers and 5-axis dental milling machines.
